Twenty-two books! Even though I haven’t read any books this week, by George I’m still on track to read 52 books this year! I won’t give up!
On a whim, I decided to apply to 2 colleges here in Missouri. The first one sent me an acceptance letter on May 1st, and I applied on April 29th. Yesterday, an acceptance letter from the second school arrived, and I applied on April 30th. So that’s pretty cool! 🙂 Too bad I didn’t apply for a M.A. in History while going for my B.S. in Physics/Maths, that woulda been badass! Or maybe I could get a B.A. in French…🤔 Not really though, that would just be spreading myself too thin. Oh well.
Since moving to St. Louis, I’ve started drinking again. There seems to be a positive correlation between how much I drink and how much time I spend around men. Go figure!
There also seems to be a negative correlation between how much I read/write and how much time I spend around men. And I think that sucks. I hate not reading, I hate not writing, and I hate not going out. The most I’ve ever read, written, and gone out exploring was when I had my own bedroom. But even that’s just not good enough anymore. I’m an adult, goodness damnit! I need my own apartment!
So tomorrow I’ll be apartment hunting! And visiting cute cafes downtown! Plus, I want to go to the City Museum. Can you believe it; I’ve been in St. Louis for a month and a half and haven’t done anything on my bucket list?! Wish me luck, because a few of my older coworkers have said that their knees hurt something terrible today, which means that there will be thunderstorms tomorrow.
And that’s partly due to living away from the city. It’s a long bus ride downtown. Gosh, I miss Seattle’s fast public transit! Anyways, I’m moving downtown and think I found the perfect apartment!
I’ll let you know how it goes either tomorrow night, or Sunday morning. 🌞
P.S. I can’t believe it (yes I can), but I forgot to share my St. Louis Bucket list with you! I’ll write that up this weekend, too!
Thank you so much for reading! 🌈
